What You Need to Know

Pickle relish is made from pickled cucumbers with onion, garlic, sugar, vinegar, and spices. The onion and garlic content makes it toxic to dogs regardless of how small the amount seems — Allium toxicity is cumulative. Sweet relish contains additional sugar. Hot dog relish often contains even more seasoning. Never give dogs relish of any variety.
