SafeFoodForDogs was founded by a dog owner who got tired of sifting through unreliable blog posts and conflicting forum advice every time a question came up about whether a food was safe to share with their dog.
The mission from day one has been simple: build the most trustworthy, clearly-organized, and accessible food safety resource for dog owners. Every guide on this site is written with that goal in mind — no filler, no buried answers, no clickbait.
The author's role is to research, write, and organize. UK vet Dr Alex Crow BVetMed MRCVS reviewed a defined set of our food entries; food pages whose reviewed content is unchanged show his name. Other pages and all guides have not been reviewed by a veterinarian.
