What You Need to Know

Original Fritos contain corn masa salt and corn oil — no garlic or onion powder making them primarily a sodium and fat concern rather than an Allium toxicity concern. A few original Fritos chips are not a major emergency. However Fritos Flavor Twists Honey BBQ and other flavored varieties contain onion powder and garlic powder making them additionally toxic. The distinction between original and flavored Fritos matters — always check which variety your dog accessed.
