Did you know?

Sausage is one of the oldest processed foods — the word appears in Latin texts from 200 BCE. Early sausages were a practical way to use every part of a slaughtered animal. The longest sausage ever made measured 59 kilometers — set in Romania in 2016. Germany has over 1500 types of sausage including the famous bratwurst which dates to 1313 in Nuremberg. The garlic that makes virtually all sausage toxic to dogs is one of its most ancient and universal flavoring ingredients.
