What You Need to Know

Pure sesame tahini without added salt or garlic is the only acceptable version for dogs. Even plain tahini is very high in fat making portion control important. A tiny amount as an occasional treat is safe for healthy dogs without pancreatitis history. Always check labels — many commercial tahinis contain added salt.
